About this policy
Atria is a BeMagic product for AI-assisted customer support. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our website, create an account, or interact with an Atria chat on another website.
Our role and the website owner's role
BeMagic handles account, security, and service administration data to operate Atria. When a business uses Atria to support its visitors, that business determines the purpose of its customer conversations and the information it supplies. Consult the host website's privacy policy as well. Any applicable data processing agreement governs processing on that business's behalf.
Information we process
Account information may include your name, email address, business name, password hash, team membership, and subscription status. Support data may include messages, knowledge sources, AI-generated replies, operator replies, conversation history, and preferences shared in a conversation. Depending on the website's configuration, we may also receive visitor identifiers, names, email addresses, custom metadata, IP addresses, browser details, page URLs, referrers, language, and timezone.
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, deliver support conversations, retrieve relevant knowledge, generate or translate replies, enable human handoff, send account emails, administer subscriptions, prevent abuse, and understand service usage. Businesses can review conversations and use Atria's learning features to improve their knowledge base.
AI and service providers
Relevant conversation and knowledge content may be sent to the configured AI provider, including OpenAI when enabled, to generate, analyse, or translate support responses. We also use infrastructure providers to host the service, Resend to deliver transactional emails, and Stripe to process subscriptions. Payment card details are handled by Stripe; Atria receives subscription and customer references rather than full card details. These providers handle data under their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Cookies and browser storage
Atria uses session cookies for authentication and a language-preference cookie. The embedded widget uses browser storage to remember a visitor identifier and preserve the chat experience. We do not describe these mechanisms as advertising cookies. A website embedding Atria is responsible for any notices or consent required for its use.
Legal grounds and international processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing depends on its purpose, such as performing a service contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent when required. Providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable, appropriate transfer safeguards must be established.
Retention and security
We keep information as needed to provide the service and meet legitimate operational, security, and legal requirements. Retention can vary by data type, account relationship, and applicable obligations. We use technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sharing passwords, payment card details, or unnecessary sensitive information in support chats.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive a copy of your information, or withdraw consent. Children and changes
Atria is not intended for children to create accounts independently. Businesses must ensure their use is appropriate for their audience. We may update this policy as the service changes; the current version and update date will be shown on this page.
